The Tokai 'Traditional Series' SG-SP in Cherry is a faithful recreation of a classic model that was introduced in the 1960's at the same time as the JNR model. 

It differed from the JNR model due to it having twin P90 pickups as opposed to a single P90 which gave it more tonal possibilities. 

Even though the guitar was cheaper than it's sister models it definately found a home among some of the eras notable rock players and continued on to be one of the most recognisable guitars in the world of rock n roll. 
Today the SP style guitar is a sort after model and creates a sound all of its own.
