A Tune a Day Book 2 for Saxophone represents a continuation of the philosophy and pedagogical principles set forth in book One.

Progress is approached through music rather than through technical exercises.  However, routines for practice of technique during the lesson and at home are included, and the author intends that some pure technique be included with each lesson assignment, the amount being left to the discretion of the teacher.

Each of the twenty-seven lesson assignments includes problems preparatory to the wide variety of good music that has been chosen to illustrate and give good practice in the various skills to be learned.

The author has selected material of composers which students will encounter in school bands and orchestras.
